Vinted Members Share Anger About Size Changes
Vinted users have been reacting angrily following a change that caused items being listed as the wrong size.
The second-hand shopping app has updated its measurement guidelines for women's and children's clothes but did not contact every member regarding the update.

Numerous buyers and vendors are posting online saying Vinted listings now show a different size category compared to what was initially listed as a result of the reclassification.
The platform stated the revised method more closely matches comparable marketplaces.
It has advised users to review their products and adjust the sizing manually if necessary, which has left users frustrated.
Measurement Approach Updates
Before the change, the measurements included numerical and alphabetical indicators, for instance S/8 or M/10.
The updated approach includes an alphabetical indicator and numerical range like S/UK 8-10.
In some cases, the sizing has been recategorised - like an L measurement was formerly size 12 but now shows as UK 16-18.
User Stories
A fashion influencer, who makes TikTok content about plus-size fashion, said the change "makes both selling and buying harder".
"Few clothing companies classify XL as 20-22," the way the service now categorizes.
Another user, from Glasgow, stated items she posted on Vinted with size 14 labels were appearing on the platform as size 20–22.
"If anyone [who is] size 20-22 buys them they may become frustrated," she stated.
Required Changes
Another shopper, from Derby, stated she felt frustrated due to the update requiring manual adjustment the sizing for "all her products".
"Personally, this is quite irritating, as I'm chronically ill and selling on Vinted has been paramount for me since losing part of my income," she explained.
Marketplace Information
The service features exceeding 100 million users, comprising 18 million UK members.
It has emerged as a preferred choice compared to resale services such as eBay and Depop.
This isn't the first time when a surprising modification within the service has received backlash: previously, the platform withdrew an update to its shipping options due to shopper criticism.
